April 21 | Mike's Beer Bar | 4PM
A celebration of community, local beer, regional grain, and sustainable brewing
WHAT IS THE ALLEGHENY MOUNTAIN MALT SUSTAINABLE SIP-OFF?
The Allegheny Mountain Malt Sustainable Sip-Off is a craft beer competition designed to spotlight local breweries, regional malt, and the role innovative partnerships can play in a more sustainable and resilient food system.

Participating breweries create a unique beer using Allegheny Mountain Malt and take part in a tasting experience that connects farmers, maltsters, distributors, breweries, bars, and beer lovers from Pittsburgh and beyond.
This isn’t just a beer competition. It’s a celebration of the full journey from farm to pint and the local businesses working together to strengthen our regional economy and build climate-resilience.

GETTING TO THE SIP-OFF
With the big Draft coming to town, we know many attendees may have questions about traffic and parking. Good news: roads and parking will remain open and accessible on the day of the Sustainable Sip-Off (April 21).

Scheduled road closures near Mike's Beer Bar will not begin until April 22, so you can plan your visit as usual. We still recommend allowing a little extra travel time, as the city may be busier than normal. For more details about road closures and traffic changes, check out Visit Pittsburgh’s Draft site. Find additional information on parking and driving here, and a thorough public transportation guide here.

Additionally, on Tuesday, April 21, all Pittsburgh Parking Authority garages will operate as usual, with no price increases. You can access Parking Authority garages and lots located downtown on this map. First Avenue Garage is a great choice, as you can park there and take the T to the North Side station, just two blocks from Mike’s Beer Bar and the Sip-Off!

Biking is also a fantastic, sustainable option to get to the Sip-Off! Check out Bike Pittsburgh’s Bike the Draft Guide for helpful information on trails, bike parking, and more. Through POGOH, you can also rent an e-bike and take off to the Sip-Off.
